My thoughts for today:
I read a short letter, and it applied to me so well. Stormy weather is so cold to the heart.
In March I joined the Army, and by July I volunteered for duty in VietNam. 8 months after my 18th birthday I was at Bien Hoa Airport, VietNam. I was excited. But unknowingly, I had walked through the gates of hell and I passed through with open arms. 12 months later I was standing at the same Airport, but could not understand where the excitement went.
Now, 40 years later I finally realize, war effects many in different ways, and not just the ones that fought in it. I can't speak for others, but I can for myself. Living life is what can be hell...... especially if my mind becomes the devil.
